Three surfaces doing three jobs.
Open-cell foam
Cells that connect instead of sealing. Gel through the pour draws heat sideways rather than holding it against your back.
Perforated latex
Natural latex at 65–85 kg/m³, punched through top to bottom. Springy where foam is slow, and it still holds shape after a decade.
You will spend a third of the next ten years here. It should be the most considered thing you own.

Heat leaves
through the sides.
Foam alone traps warmth against your back. Perforated latex and an open spring core give it somewhere to go — out through the ventilated border, not into the mattress.
